RAF Cottesmore

Last summer a team of motorcyclists from 800 Naval Air Squadron from RAF Cottesmore rode a selection of Triumphs on a 3,500-mile charity ride that took in a number of military establishments from all three services.  Along the way they met Denise Harris, founder of the charity Afghan Heroes, a meeting that led to the creation of a unique Triumph Daytona 675.

The bike in question, bedecked in Afghan Heroes logos, has been signed by 21 of the big names in international motorcycle racing, including Leon Haslam, James Toseland, Troy Corser and Chris Walker, and will be the focal point of a year-long fund raising campaign on behalf of Afghan Heroes.

You can see the bike, and get the opportunity to win it, at various motorcycle events throughout the year, culminating at November’s NEC Motorcycle Show, where the lucky winner will be announced.
